Khayria Ahmed

Personal and Family Life

Khayria Ahmed, originally named Somia Ahmed Ibrahem Khedr, was the sister of actress Samira Ahmed. She married late writer Youssef Auf, which provided her with a supportive family background in the arts.

Career

Khayria began her career in the free theater troupe and took part in several notable plays such as “Mraty bent gen” and “Abdel Salam Affendi.” In the 1950s, she was involved in a radio program titled “Hour for your heart.” She also worked in comedy theater during the 1960s and appeared in many television series, including “Daydreams” and “Good Morning My Dear Neighbor.”

Death and Legacy

Khayria Ahmed passed away on November 19, 2011, due to heart failure after experiencing severe pneumonia. Her contributions to theater and television left a lasting impact on the Egyptian arts scene, and she is remembered for her diverse roles and performances.
