Personal and Family Life

Kostas Voutsas had a diverse family life, engaging in multiple marriages throughout his life. He was married to Aliki Katsavou from 2016 until his death in 2020, and they had one child together. Voutsas also had a previous marriage to Evi Karagianni, from which he divorced in 2008, and another marriage to Theano Papaspirou, between 1975 and 1988, with whom he had two children. His daughter Theodora Voutsa followed in his footsteps and became an actress as well.

Career

Kostas Voutsas began his acting career in 1953 after studying at the Drama School of the Macedonian Conservatory of Thessaloniki. He gained fame in 1961 when he starred in the hit film “Spoiled Rotten,” which helped establish him as one of Greece’s top comic actors. Over his career, Voutsas appeared in about 60 films, primarily comedies, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival in 1984.
