Larry Daniels was the son of Rose and Jacob Nahamkin, who were Russian Jewish immigrants. He married Peggy Daniels in 1955, and together they had two children. Larry was also the father of writer-director Meg McGarry and the grandfather of chef Flynn McGarry.
