Larry Duran was born on July 26, 1925, in Los Angeles, California. He was married to Karen and had two children, one of whom, Richard L. Duran, also became an actor and stuntman. Duran was a life member of the Stuntman’s Association of America and served in the U.S. Navy.

Career

Before his acting career, Duran was a boxer. He got his break when Marlon Brando helped him land a small role in the film “Viva Zapata!” in 1952. Throughout his life, he appeared in many films and television shows, often in athletic roles or as a stunt performer, which allowed him to combine his physical skills with his acting talent.

Death and Legacy

Larry Duran passed away on November 27, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 77.
