Larry Fine

Larry Fine was an American actor best known for being a part of the comedy trio The Three Stooges, along with Moe Howard and Curly Howard. He was born Louis Feinberg on October 5, 1902, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and had a successful career in films and television.

Personal and Family Life

Larry Fine was married to Mabel Haney from January 22, 1926, until her death on May 30, 1967. Together, they had two children, Phyllis Fine and John Fine. Larry was known for his unkempt hair and portrayed the middle stooge, often playing a straight man to his more eccentric partners.

Career

Starting his career as a violinist, Larry later worked as a singer and boxer in his teenage years. In 1925, he joined Ted Healy and Moe Howard, forming a new act that evolved into The Three Stooges. Fine appeared in more than 200 films throughout his career, bringing joy and laughter to audiences until his retirement due to health issues in 1970.

Death and Legacy

Larry Fine passed away on January 24, 1975, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, after suffering from a series of strokes. He is remembered as a beloved member of The Three Stooges and remains an iconic figure in the world of comedy. His contributions to film and television continue to entertain fans even today.
