Larry McCormick

Larry McCormick was an American actor who is best known for his roles in “The Punisher,” “Throw Momma from the Train,” and “Death Drug.” He also made a significant impact as a newscaster in Los Angeles.

Personal and Family Life

Larry McCormick was born on February 3, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was married to Anita McCormick and had three children, including Kitty and Mitch. He also had two grandchildren, Daniel and Benjamin. Larry was the brother of Charles McCormick, a member of the R&B group Bloodstone.

Career

Larry began his career in entertainment as a DJ before becoming one of the first black newscasters at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles in 1969. He attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he graduated. In addition to his work in news, he appeared in many films and television shows, often playing the role of a news anchor or reporter.

Death and Legacy

Larry McCormick passed away on August 27, 2004, in Los Angeles, California. He was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills. Posthumously, he was honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Television on October 10, 2002, recognizing his contributions to the industry.
