Lee Crawford

Lee Crawford was an American actor known for his roles in “Suspicious Circumstances,” “Howards’ Way,” and “Z Cars.” Born Harold Lewis Crawford on November 15, 1936, in London, he made significant contributions to television and theatre over his career.

Lee Crawford was born into a family of immigrants from Germany and Romania. He was the oldest of three siblings, with a sister named Laura and a brother named Jeffrey. After leaving school at 16, he attended drama school and embarked on an acting career in Hollywood. He was married twice; first to Lydia Keyes, with whom he had two children, Matthew and Adam, and later to Diana Hobson.

Career

Crawford’s career included various roles in television and theatre. He worked on the original series of “The Saint” alongside Roger Moore and spent two years at the Royal Shakespeare Company. However, after his notable early roles, he worked intermittently in the industry for around 35 years.
