Leslie Carlson

Leslie Carlson was an American actor who is best known for his roles in Videodrome, A Christmas Story, and Black Christmas.

Personal and Family Life

Leslie Carlson was born on February 24, 1933, in Mitchell, South Dakota. He earned a BFA and an MA from the University of South Dakota in the 1950s. He was married twice, first to Patricia Hamilton from 1966 until their divorce in 1973, and then to E. Joan Warren from 1983 until his death. Leslie was the father of Ben Carlson and had a close relationship with his family, including his sister-in-law Barbara Hamilton.

Career

Leslie Carlson began his acting career in stage plays in America and England. He moved to Canada in the late 1960s and was featured in many films and television shows starting in the early 1970s. Some of his notable movie roles include a police officer in Black Christmas and a reporter in Deranged. He also appeared on various TV shows, including The X-Files and Highlander.
