    Li Hua Li was born to parents who performed Beijing opera in Shanghai. In 1956, she married Chun Yen, and they shared a life together until his death in 1980. After retiring from acting in 1973, Li emigrated to the United States with her husband, Yan Chun.

    Death and Legacy

    Li Hua Li died on March 19, 2017, in Hong Kong. She left behind a remarkable legacy in Chinese cinema, with over 120 films to her name, earning her the nickname ‘The Evergreen Tree’ due to her lasting popularity and youthful appearance.
