Lili Lani, born Lilli Juanita Kathrina Kristiansson, had a vibrant personal life. She was married four times, to Svend Nielsen, Aage Stentoft, Sigfred Johansen, and Poul Reichhardt, with whom she was married from 1946 until their divorce in 1955. Her artistic name was suggested by Swedish director Gustav Molander during her film debut in Ingmarsarvet in 1925.
