Musical Career

Starting as a folk singer in the 1960s, Baldry quickly transitioned to blues and formed several bands, including The Hoochie Coochie Men and Bluesology, which helped create a platform for future stars like Elton John and Rod Stewart. He released a hit single, “Let the Heartaches Begin,” in 1968 but stepped back from music in the mid-1970s due to personal struggles. In 1980, he moved to Canada and became a permanent resident while continuing to perform occasionally.
