Personal and Family Life

Lucile Browne married actor James Flavin on September 17, 1933, and they remained together until his death in 1976. They had one son, William James Flavin, who became a professor. In her later years, Lucile enjoyed working in the fabric and yardage department of the May Company Department Store in California. She passed away just 17 days after her husband.

Career

Lucile started her career as a model before joining a theatrical troupe in Chicago, where she gained valuable experience. She was signed by Fox Film Corp in 1930 and found success in several films, particularly in the Western genre, which suited her “girl-next-door” looks. Lucile essentially stepped back from acting around 1938 to focus on her family, making only a few appearances in films afterwards.
