Lyndon Brook, born Clive Lyndon Brook, was the son of silent film star Clive Brook and actress Mildred Evelyn. He had an elder sister, Faith Brook, who was also a successful stage and television actress. Lyndon married actress Elizabeth Kentish in 1953, and they remained together until his death in 2004, having two children.

Career

Brook began his acting career on stage in London during the 1940s and became known for his quiet and sympathetic roles in films throughout the 1950s and 60s. One of his standout performances was as Johnny Sanderson in the biographical film “Reach for the Sky,” which celebrated the life of RAF pilot Douglas Bader. He also had notable appearances in productions such as “The Hireling” and “Defense of the Realm,” and he was recognized for his role as King George VI in “Churchill and the Generals.”
