Macklyn Arbuckle was born on July 9, 1866, in San Antonio, Texas. He was married to Mrs. Macklyn Arbuckle from June 29, 1903, until his death on March 31, 1931. Before pursuing acting, he practiced law for only one year. He is also the brother of fellow actor Andrew Arbuckle.

Career

Arbuckle transitioned from law to acting, where he became well-known for his memorable performances. He famously delivered the line “Nobody loves a fat man” while portraying Sheriff “Slim” Hoover in the play “The Roundup.” This line and role helped cement his status in the entertainment industry during his career.

Death and Legacy

Macklyn Arbuckle passed away on April 1, 1931, in Waddington, New York, due to a brain hemorrhage. His work in film and theater has left a lasting legacy, remembered for his unique characters and contributions to the performing arts.
