Mae married Fred Curtis Aldrich on March 24, 1903, in Chicago, Illinois, and they had two children, Edmund and Ardelle. However, she eventually abandoned her family. Later, she married Harold Hoover Baker, a bond broker, where she misrepresented her age and failed to mention her children, living a different life in Beverly Hills.
