Marcia Henderson was married twice, first to Robert Brodsky from 1950 to 1953, and then to Robert Ivers from September 7, 1961, until her death in 1987. She had two daughters, Mallory Cangialosi and Alenda Michael. Mallory worked behind the scenes in the entertainment industry and the character Mallory on the show Family Ties was named after her.
Career
Henderson had a successful career in theater and film. She won a Theatre World Award in 1950 for her role as Wendy in the Broadway revival of “Peter Pan.” Despite being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 1957, she continued to perform, though her condition affected her career.
Death and Legacy
Marcia Henderson passed away due to complications from lupus, which led to multiple organ failure. She was remembered for her significant contributions to theater and television throughout her life, leaving behind a legacy of remarkable performances.
