Her parents were Sidney Charles Strassman and Jeanne Dorothy Weiner. Marcia had a daughter named Elizabeth Collector from her marriage to Robert Collector, which lasted from 1984 to 1989.
Career
Beginning her career as a singer, Marcia launched a single called “The Flower Children” in 1967. She transitioned to acting at a young age, appearing in a Broadway show and later on television in series like The Patty Duke Show and MASH. However, she gained fame for her role as Julie Kotter in the beloved sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter, which aired from 1975 to 1979.

Marcia Strassman passed away on October 24, 2014, in Sherman Oaks, California, after battling breast cancer.
