Born Marvel Marilyn Maxwell on August 3, 1920, in Clarinda, Iowa, she enjoyed a career as a celebrated actress and singer. She had three marriages: first to actor John Conte, then to restaurateur Anders Nylund McIntyre, and finally to producer Jerry Davis. With Davis, she had a son named Matthew.

Career

Maxwell began her career in radio before moving on to film in 1942, starring in various popular movies through the 1940s and 1950s. She was known for her entertaining performances, especially alongside Bob Hope on USO tours during World War II and the Korean War. In the 1950s, she shifted focus to television, featuring in several prominent shows of the time.

Death and Legacy

Marilyn Maxwell passed away on March 20, 1972, from a heart attack at her home in Beverly Hills, California. Her 15-year-old son found her, which was a devastating moment for the family.
