Mark Barragar was the only child of Wallace and Loree Barragar. He attended Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City, where he developed a passion for acting. At the age of 16, he got his first experience in television as a Frankenstein monster on a local late-night horror show called “Sleepwalkers Matinee.”
Career
Mark’s breakthrough in acting came when he was working in a Big & Tall clothing store, where he was noticed by actor Paul Sorvino. This led to his first film role as an undertaker in the movie Surviving (1985). From 1991 to 1998, Mark hosted a children’s show called “Ranger Roger” for a local FOX affiliate, producing over 300 episodes. He later played the character “Giant” in the independent film Black Marshal: The Hunt for Dozier, which was filmed in August 2000.
