Mark Tulin was born on November 21, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Jewish parents, Rose and Leon. He had a brother named Kip. Mark attended William Howard Taft Senior High School in Woodland Hills, California. In his personal life, he was married to Lani and had one daughter, Samantha; they later separated.
Career
Tulin started his music career with a band called the Sanctions, which evolved into The Electric Prunes in 1965. The group gained popularity in the 1960s and enjoyed a resurgence in 1999, prompting Tulin to rejoin after initially leaving in 1968. Besides his work with The Electric Prunes, he also played with notable artists such as Cher and Stevie Nicks, and was a trained deep-sea diver, volunteering at the USC Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber.
Death and Legacy
Mark Tulin passed away on February 26, 2011, in Avalon, California, due to a heart attack while participating in an underwater clean-up. He was 62 years old at the time of his death. His contributions to the music world and his legacy live on through his work and family.
