Mary Ainslee

Mary Ainslee was an American actress who is best known for Pride of the Bowery, In the Sweet Pie and Pie, and Mad Youth. She was born Florence Basse Dunning Stiegler on October 12, 1914, in Mitchell, North Carolina.

Personal and Family Life

Mary Ainslee was the daughter of George Henry Stiegler and Edna Earl Dunning. She had a sister, Mabel Bee Stiegler, and a half-sibling named Doris Earl Rudd. Ainslee was married twice; first, to Edwin Booth Hutzler II from 1943 to 1949, and later to James Howard Holland from 1957 until their divorce in 1963.

Death and Legacy

Mary Ainslee passed away on November 2, 1991, in New York City, New York, due to a stroke. Her contributions to film and television remain appreciated, and she is remembered for her notable performances in various roles throughout her career.
