Gothard’s acting career began with a breakthrough in Don Levy’s film “Herostratus” in 1967. He gained popularity in the UK for his roles in the television series “Arthur of the Britons” and Ken Russell’s “The Devils.” Throughout his career, he faced periods of both success and unemployment, marking a challenging professional journey.
