Personal and Family Life

Michiyo Aratama, whose birth name was Kyoko Toda, had a successful career as an actress and was a former “musume-yaku” star with the Takarazuka Revue from 1946 to 1955. She was the sister of Noriko Katsura, and her late brother-in-law was Jushiro Komiyama, a politician associated with the LDP. Michiyo was also the aunt of Yasuko Komiyama, another politician.
