Micole Mercurio was an American actress who is best known for her roles in “While You Were Sleeping,” “Flashdance,” and “The Grifters.”

Personal and Family Life

Micole Diana Mercurio was born on March 10, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mary and Michael Mercurio. She was the eldest child in her Italian-American family and experienced the love and support of her extended family, despite facing personal tragedies, including the loss of one of her children to SIDS. She married Albert James Armonda and had four children, one of whom is named Stacy.

Career

After moving to California, Micole took various jobs to support herself while pursuing her passion for acting. She studied under Milton Katselas and worked hard to land roles, facing the tough reality of Hollywood as a woman over 40. Despite the challenges, her perseverance led her to a successful acting career, and she contributed to the theater and television for many years.

Death and Legacy

Micole Mercurio sadly passed away on January 19, 2016, in Santa Monica, California. Throughout her life, she was remembered not only for her talent but also for her kindness and dedication to mentoring young actors.
