Mike Reid

Personal and Family Life

Mike Reid was married twice. His first marriage was to Sheila A Axe from January 1958 until their divorce in 1967, and together they had two children. Later, he married Shirley Collins on August 5, 1971, and they stayed together until his death, having two children as well.

Mike Reid died of a heart attack on July 29, 2007, in Marbella, Spain. He is remembered for his memorable performances and his catchphrase of telling the audience to “turn it in” during his stand-up routines. His work has left a lasting impact on British entertainment, particularly in television.
