Milan Gutovic was married to Biljana Knezevic from 2001 until their divorce in 2011. They had two children together, Milica and Spasoje Gutovic. In his private life, he was affectionately known to friends and family as “Lane,” a nickname he earned during his school years.

Career

Gutovic graduated from the Belgrade Academy for theater, cinema, radio, and television in 1967. He started his film career with “Bekstva” in 1968 and gained prominence for his role as Srecko Sojic in various productions, including “Tesna koza” and the comedy series “Bolji zivot.” His spectacular cabaret performances, particularly “An unusual evening,” earned him international recognition.

Death and Legacy

Milan Gutovic’s health declined rapidly in August 2021, leading to his hospitalization. He passed away on August 25, 2021, shortly after celebrating his 75th birthday. His legacy continues through his significant contributions to Serbian theater and television.
