Milorad Miskovitch trained in ballet in Belgrade before moving to Paris in 1946 to further his studies. Throughout his career, he performed with various ballet companies as both a member and a guest artist. In 1956, he established his own ballet company called Les Ballets 1956 with dance critic Irène Lidova.
Career
After visiting Yugoslavia in 1966, Milorad frequently returned to stage and choreograph ballets. He started teaching in the United States during the 1970s and became an artistic adviser to UNESCO in 1980. Milorad served as the president of UNESCO’s international dance council from 1988 to 1994.
