Milton Rosmer was born Arthur Henry Milton Lunt on November 4, 1881, in Southport, Lancashire, England. He was married to Irene Rooke from 1919 until her death in 1958. His father was William James Lunt and his mother was Miriam Mulvey. Rosmer had a successful career on stage and made his film debut in 1922.

Career Achievements

Rosmer began performing on the British stage in 1889 and easily adapted to the silent film era, gaining recognition for his roles. He was not only an actor but also a director, taking charge of various films, including Balaclava and Channel Crossing. His ability to play authoritative characters helped him continue working in the film industry until his retirement in 1956, with his last film being John Wesley in 1954.
