Mimi Forsythe, born Marie G. Armstrong, was the daughter of Arthur W. Armstrong, a steel executive. Over her life, she was married three times: first to Warren Leslie McCanless, then to Benedict Bogeaus, and finally to James Parnell Turner. Her marriage to Bogeaus produced one child but ended in divorce.

Career

Mimi’s acting career began when she was unexpectedly cast in Three Russian Girls after the original actress withdrew. In 1943, she created a short film called Mimi, Queen of the Crap Shooters, which garnered attention and led to her becoming part of a major movie production. However, her career was cut short due to personal struggles.

Death and Legacy

Mimi Forsythe died on August 17, 1952, in Hollywood, California, in what was ruled a suicide. She suffered from manic depression and experienced an emotional breakdown following her divorce from Bogeaus.
