Moe Howard

Moe Howard was an American actor best known for his role in The Three Stooges. He was born as Moses Horwitz on June 19, 1897, in Brooklyn, New York.

Moe Howard was married to Helen Howard from June 7, 1925, until his death on May 4, 1975. They had two children together, Paul and Joan Howard. He was also the brother of Curly and Shemp Howard, both of whom were part of the Three Stooges act. Moe had several grandchildren, including Michael Maurer and Jeffrey Scott.

Career

Moe began his acting career in 1909, initially taking small roles in silent films. He later joined a vaudeville act with his brother Shemp and Larry Fine, which eventually became The Three Stooges. Over his 66-year career, he appeared in over 250 films, including 190 shorts of The Three Stooges. The combination of physical comedy and witty performances made the group a beloved part of American entertainment until it ended after Moe’s passing.
