Nell O’Day

Nell O’Day was an American actress who is best known for her roles in westerns and horror films. Born on September 22, 1909, in Prairie Hill, Texas, she starred in numerous movies throughout her career until her retirement in 1945.

Nell O’Day had two marriages. She was first married to Ted Fetter from August 31, 1935, until April 3, 1941, and later to Larry Williams from May 10, 1942, until their divorce in 1958. Besides her acting career, she co-wrote the film “The Monster Maker” (1944) with her second husband, but only he received screen credit for it. Despite the ups and downs in her personal life, she remained dedicated to her craft and continued to work in writing after retiring from acting.
