Norman Selby was an American actor who is best known for his roles in Secret Service, Eyes of Youth, and Broken Blossoms.

Born on October 13, 1873, in Rush County, Indiana, Norman Selby had a tumultuous personal life that included multiple marriages. He was married eight times, with one of his wives being Sue Cobb Cowley, who he was married to until his death in 1940. His other spouses included Dagmar Dahlgren and Edna Valentine Hein, among others. His relationships often ended in divorce.

Death and Legacy

Norman Selby passed away on April 18, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, in a tragic manner, as he died by suicide. He was remembered not only for his acting but also as a former world middleweight boxing champion, having been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame posthumously in 1991. His life was marked by both success in sports and struggles in personal relationships.
