Norodom Yuvanat was born on October 17, 1943, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to King Norodom Sihanouk and Sisowath Pongsanmoni. He had 13 siblings, several of whom sadly died during the Khmer Rouge regime. He first married in 1959, with whom he had two children, and then remarried in June 1962, having four more children. After fleeing to Beijing due to a coup in 1970, Yuvanat eventually settled with his family in Connecticut, USA, in 1980.

Norodom Yuvanat passed away on January 13, 2021, in Branford, Connecticut, due to illness. His legacy lives on through his contributions to the film industry and his role as a member of the Cambodian royal family. He is remembered for his artistry and his family’s historical significance.
