O.C. Smith was an American actor best known for his roles in Shaft’s Big Score! (1972), The Learning Tree (1969), and Such Good Friends (1971). He was born on June 21, 1936, in Mansfield, Louisiana, and passed away on November 23, 2001, in Los Angeles, California.

O.C. Smith was married twice. His first marriage was to Lorraine Wiltz from April 11, 1953, until their divorce in 1975, during which they had two children. He later married Robbie Gholson Smith in 1976 and remained with her until his death.

O.C. Smith died from a heart attack on November 23, 2001. He left behind his wife Robbie, two daughters, five sons, and ten grandchildren. His work in the film and television industry left a lasting impression and he is remembered for his contributions to the arts.
