Olive Blakeney

Olive Blakeney was an American actress, best known for her roles in “Henry Aldrich Gets Glamour,” “Leave Her to Heaven,” and “Experiment Perilous.” Born on August 21, 1894, in Newport, Kentucky, she became a prominent character actress on both sides of the Atlantic.

Olive Blakeney had two marriages in her lifetime. She was first married to John Wilmot Crosby on June 15, 1915, but they later divorced. Her second husband was Bernard Nedell, whom she married before her death in 1959, and with whom she had one child, Betty Lou Nedell. Betty Lou later married actor Jimmy Lydon, who played Olive’s screen son in several films.
