Olive Deering was born on October 11, 1918, in Manhattan, New York City. She had a brother named Alfred Ryder and was the ex-sister-in-law of Kim Stanley. Olive was married to Leo Penn from February 19, 1947, until their divorce on January 2, 1958.

Career

Before becoming a television star in the 1950s, Olive was primarily known for her work in stage and radio. She had notable performances on Broadway, including appearing opposite Paul Muni in “Counselor-at-Law” in 1942. Deering also played the character of Miriam in two films, The Ten Commandments and Samson and Delilah, showcasing her range as an actress.
