Om Shivpuri was born in 1938 in Jaipur, India. He married Sudha Shivpuri in 1968, and they had two children, including actress Ritu Shivpuri and assistant director Vineet Shivpuri. They first met while working together at a radio station and were part of the same batch at the National School of Drama (NSD), where their love flourished.
Career
Shivpuri began his film career in 1971 and became known for playing a variety of roles, including villains and supporting characters. With over 175 films to his credit, he became a prominent figure in Hindi cinema and was also active in theater, contributing to NSD’s early productions.
