Pamela Britton was an American actor who is best known for her role as Mrs. Lorelei Brown in My Favorite Martian, Blondie Bumstead in the television series Blondie, and appearances in D.O.A. and Anchors Aweigh.

Personal and Family Life

Born Armilda Jane Owen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Pamela was the daughter of Ethel Owen, a well-known actress. She had two sisters, Virginia, an actress, and Mary, a social worker. Pamela grew up participating in school plays, enjoyed sports, and began performing at a young age. She married Arthur Steel on April 8, 1945, and they had one daughter, Katherine Lee.

Pamela began her career as a singer and actress, eventually gaining fame on Broadway in Oklahoma! She transitioned to film and television, achieving significant recognition for her roles in D.O.A. and My Favorite Martian.
