Paul Dahlke was born on April 12, 1904, in Groß-Streitz, Pomerania, Germany, now known as Strzezenice, Poland. He was married twice, first to Doris Schacht from 1943 to 1955, with whom he had one child, and later to Elfe Gerhart from 1955 until his death in 1984. In addition to acting, Dahlke enjoyed painting and sculpting in his spare time.
Career
Dahlke trained at the Max Reinhardt Academy in Berlin and began his stage career in 1929. He gained recognition at the Deutsches Theater during the 1930s and later became a member of the Munich Kammerspiele. Over his long career, he took on numerous roles in films, often portraying professional men and academics, and became a familiar face on German television in the 1970s.

Paul Dahlke passed away on November 24, 1984, in Salzburg, Austria.
