Hyland began her acting career on stage in 1910 and transitioned to film, making her debut in Percy Nash’s “In the Rank” in 1914. Over her career, she appeared in more than 45 films, including her well-known role in “The Merry-Go-Round” in 1919. She also ventured into directing, producing, and writing, demonstrating her versatility in the film industry.
