Pete Boughn was an American actor who is best known for Amerika, Home at Last, and The Indian Runner.
Personal and Family Life
Born Cecil Raymond Boughn on August 13, 1926, in Walthill, Nebraska, he was married to Diane Powell from March 1956 until her death in 1976. Together, they had three children, including actors David Boughn and Scott McKinley, as well as screenwriter Tim Boughn. He started his acting career later in life after retiring from his position as an assistant to the chancellor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Death and Legacy
Pete Boughn passed away on July 22, 2006, in Glenwood, Iowa, after suffering a series of strokes. He became well-known in the Midwest as the TV spokesperson for Woodhouse Auto Family, a role he held for two decades. His contributions to acting and his family left a lasting impact in their respective fields.
