Philip Davis was born on September 11, 1889, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He married Dolores Le Normand, and they were together until her passing in February 1973. Philip had a younger brother, Eddie Davis, who co-owned the Midtown Manhattan nightclub “Leon and Eddie’s” where Philip later worked as a manager.
