Pilar Seurat was born as Rita Hernandez on July 25, 1938, in Manila, Philippines. She moved to Los Angeles during her childhood and began her career as a dancer in Ken Murray’s “Blackouts” troupe. She was married twice, first to Don Devlin from 1959 to 1963, with whom she had one child, Dean Devlin. Her second marriage was to Don Cerveris from 1970 until their divorce in 1981. Seurat also had a half-sister named Alana H. Lambros.

Pilar Seurat passed away on June 2, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, due to lung cancer at the age of 62. Throughout her career, she was recognized for her roles in television and film, often casting her as one of the prominent Asian actresses of her time.
