Preshy Marker was an American actress who is best known for The Happeners, Death Valley Days, and her work as a special-education assistant.
Personal and Family Life
Preshy Marker was born Esther Stomne on August 26, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up with her two sisters in Maplewood, New Jersey. Her father affectionately called her Preshy, which was short for Precious. She later married Marc Reyna in 1966 and had one child.
Career
Preshy began her career in music, touring as a singer with Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians in the mid-1950s. She joined The Four Martins, a vocal group led by songwriter Hugh Martin. Preshy also had acting roles, including appearing in The Happeners and Death Valley Days.
Death and Legacy
Preshy Marker passed away on July 4, 2015, in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California. She is remembered for her contributions to both music and acting, as well as her commitment to special education.
