Linnanheimo married Count Carl Robert Mörner in 1948, but their marriage ended with his death in 1952.

Regina began her acting career early, working as a stand-in for her sister in the film “Jääkärin morsian” in 1931. She quickly made her mark in Finnish cinema, often portraying romantic and dramatic roles. In 1956, she transitioned to a job as a translator for the Finnish broadcasting corporation, continuing to work in the arts even after leaving film.

Regina Linnanheimo passed away on January 24, 1995, in Helsinki, Finland. Her contributions to Finnish cinema are celebrated, and her memory is honored by the Finnish National Audiovisual Institute, which named a new movie theater “Kino Regina” in her honor. Linnanheimo’s legacy as a leading actress during the golden age of Finnish film remains significant.
