Rem Lebedev

Rem Lebedev was a Russian actor known for his role as Father Fedor in “12 Stulyev” (1966), directed by Aleksandr Belinsky. He had a long and distinguished career on stage and television in the USSR.

Personal and Family Life

Rem Fedorovich Lebedev was born on November 30, 1928, in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Russia. He graduated in 1948 from the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinema and soon joined the Leningrad Theatre for Young Audiences, where he performed until 1973. In 1982, he was honored with the title of People’s Actor of the USSR. He was married to actress Lyudmila Krasikova and had a daughter named Elena.

Career

Lebedev had a prolific career in theater, becoming a leading actor at the Pushkin Drama Theatre from 1974 until his passing. He shared the stage with many esteemed actors and performed in various classic and modern plays, including Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” and Gorky’s “The Lower Depths.” His work earned him a reputation as a talented character actor, particularly known for his ability to portray diverse roles.

Death and Legacy

Rem Lebedev passed away from heart failure on April 12, 1988, in St. Petersburg. He was laid to rest in Shuvalovskoe cemetery in his hometown. His legacy continues through his performances and the influence he had on Russian theater, as well as through his family, including his daughter and granddaughter.
