Richard Wall was born on February 11, 1944, in Sandersville, Georgia. Although he acted occasionally, he primarily worked as a musician, conductor, and church organist. In 1994, he moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, after spending many years in New York, and took charge of the classical FM radio station WCPE.
