Robert Hutton

Robert Hutton was an American actor who is best known for Destination Tokyo, The Steel Helmet, and They Came from Beyond Space.

Personal and Family Life

Born on June 11, 1920, in Kingston, New York, Robert Hutton was the son of a hardware merchant and related to Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton. He graduated from Blair Academy in New Jersey before pursuing a career in acting. Hutton had four marriages, two of which produced children. He enjoyed a successful career in film and television, but his strong political views made it difficult for him to find work later in life.

Career

Robert Hutton began his acting journey at the Woodstock Playhouse in New York, where he worked as a leading man and director. He was under contract with Warner Brothers for several years and appeared in numerous films and television shows, showcasing his talent. Though he faced challenges after leaving Warner Brothers, Hutton continued to work in show business, taking on roles in movies and TV series until his retirement.

Death and Legacy

Hutton passed away on August 7, 1994, in Kingston, New York. He spent his last days in a nursing facility after suffering a broken back. Hutton had expressed a sense of accomplishment about his Hollywood career, having worked with many legendary figures. Despite writing an autobiography, it was never published because he chose not to reveal scandalous details about his colleagues.
