Robert Kendall was born on June 26, 1927, in Stephenson, Michigan. He later won a screen test contest in Battle Creek, which led to a chance encounter with a talent agent from Universal Studios. Although the contest was not legitimate, it opened doors for his acting career.
Career
Kendall appeared in minor roles in several Technicolor films starring Yvonne De Carlo during the 1940s. Throughout his life, he wrote articles about various famous actresses, including a tribute to Yvonne De Carlo in “Classic Images” magazine after her death in May 2007. He also published a book titled “White Teacher in a Black School” in 1964, reflecting on his experiences teaching in south central Los Angeles.

Robert Kendall passed away on November 12, 2009, in Seattle, Washington, due to a heart attack. His contributions to acting and writing have left a lasting impression on those who admire classic cinema and the art of storytelling.
