Robert Parnell was an American actor who is best known for his roles in “Eyeball,” “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” and “Nash Bridges.”

Personal and Family Life

Robert Emmet Morris, known as Robert Parnell, was born in Chicago to Gerald and Pauline Morris. His family relocated to the West Coast in 1938, where he later attended Glendale High School. After serving in the US Navy, he pursued studies in acting at Pasadena City College and Cal State Los Angeles, where he met his first wife, Jane Morris. He was the proud father of producer Brent Morris and actress Colleen Morris.

Career

From the early 1960s through the 1970s, Parnell appeared in numerous plays in Los Angeles, including the West Coast premiere of Edward Albee’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” In the early 1980s, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and became known for his stage performances, receiving awards from Dramalogue and other sources. Among his favorite roles were performances in “Golf With Alan Shepard,” “Moonlight in da Escanaba,” “Noises Off,” and “The Crucible.”

Death and Legacy

Robert Parnell passed away on November 10, 2015, in Novato, California, due to natural causes. His contributions to theater and on-screen performances left a lasting impact, influencing many in the acting community. He is remembered for his extensive body of work and dedication to his craft.
